Diakonie de La Tour is one of the largest social welfare organisations in the south of Austria with about 2,200 employees. One of its many facilities is the "Lernraum“, a Primary and Secondary School located in Klagenfurt that has up to 160 children and offers bilingual education for grades 1-4 and 5-8.

Our bilingual Primary and Secondary Schools are based on Montessori principles and supports students’ individual talents and interests. Our approach recognises that students come to school with different levels of knowledge and skills, and that they have individual learning styles and tempo.

Project-based learning and a broad spectrum of activities allow students to deepen their knowledge and develop their independent critical thinking skills. Students are exposed to a variety of methods that encourage them to expand and actively shape their knowledge.
