SERIGO is a European research project focused on social science innovations for inclusion and a “good life” in rural regions. Diakonie de La Tour is participating with a pilot project.

About SERIGO

SERIGO aims to strengthen the resilience, social inclusion, and well-being of vulnerable groups in rural areas across Europe through socially innovative solutions developed or supported by social economy stakeholders.

Conducts community-based, participatory research with case studies from across Europe and pilot projects in five EU member states.

Promotes exchange and collaboration on this topic among various stakeholders in Europe.

Provides political decision-makers with recommendations for developing measures to promote social integration in rural areas.

SERIGO Project

Free Course for Women
  • Group program for women in Villach, Landskron and surrounding areas
  • Basic education course (focus on German as a foreign language)
  • Workshops on parenting and family, health, education, support and daily life
  • Shared vegetable garden
  • Networking with other women and families
  • Counseling on social and legal issues

Objectives
Integration into the labor market, establishment of an intercultural network in rural areas (with a gardening aspect), and counteracting social isolation.

For whom?
Women with a migration background aged 18 and above

When?
Every Monday and Thursday from 09:00 to 12:00
